How Does UV Printing Work?

In UV printing, the ink polymerizes under ultraviolet light, allowing the print to cure instantly. No solvents evaporate from the UV ink, making it harmless to health. The finished print does not fade in sunlight and is resistant to weather conditions.

Absolutely. On dark surfaces, we use a white underbase to produce photo-quality prints. For transparent materials, different graphics can be printed on each side by applying an intermediate white layer.

Our OCÉ Arizona UV printer can print roll media up to 2.2 meters wide. In flatbed mode, we can place boards up to 2.5 × 3 meters on the vacuum table. In special cases, the machine is also perfectly suitable for printing directly onto objects.

Yes. Our UV printers are capable of printing white ink, allowing us to create one or more white layers on transparent materials when needed. This helps prevent the print from becoming “too transparent.”
